A Little About Me

As a young person, I grew up in the bible belt thinking I knew a lot about God, but realizing later that I knew very little.  I surrendered my life to the Lord at age 20 when He dramatically orchestrated some amazing events in my life.  I was in training to be a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines when my life took a 180 degree turn.

Being a flight attendant was a fun, adventerous job, but it doesn't compare to be a wife and stay-at-home mom.

I became re-acquainted with my man, Jason Carlettini, at age 23.  We were married 6 weeks after our first "date," which wasn't really even a date!  We got married on the beautiful beaches of Hawaii.  Since then, we have been on a crazy roller coaster ride that has landed us here in Spring Branch, TX with 3 fabulous children, experiences being on staff at 4 different churches, the most recent being the church plant that Jason is co-pastoring, which we launched in September '10. The Crossing.

Jesus continues to pursue me and to show me that He is a mighty big God with mighty big plans.  His love for me and for mankind never ceases to amaze me.

In November of 2010, when our daughter Sarah was born, I experienced some pretty serious post-partum complications.  I have been on a long road of recovery and still deal with chronic pain.  God has used this season in my life to teach me so many things.  I can testify that all of His gifts are indeed GOOD, even though they aren't always in pretty packages.  In fact, I have learned quite a bit through suffering, maybe even more than any other way.

I believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  I am dependent upon the Lord, and am so thankful for my relationship with Him, which sustains me.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  I pray that we can be an encouragement to each other and would love hear from YOU!

  1. I just re-read your "In my shoes" post. It is really beautiful. I love it that God made us three parts....spirit, soul, body. (1Thes. 5:23) I can tell you are truly spirit-led. I just read about your church and prayed for you guys in TX. Sounds like you've got some great things going on in TX. I relate to many of the things you said in your "about me" post. I also have 3 fabulous children and although I am not officially on staff at my church, I see us as "the church" and view my life as full time ministry. We've recently relocated and I love the Lord so much. So awesome to read your story and see how God is working in your life. Praying for you and your church from Huntsville, AL.
