Reading is one of my favorite things to do. It refreshes me, it encourages me, and it equips me. I enjoy learning from fellow travelers on this journey called life. I believe there are many amazing things out there in text that are from the hearts of others who have gotten a pen and written down the things they have learned or experienced in life. Literature is an overflowing from one person's life to another. Wether it be in the form of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, or what have you, literature is a gift, a gift I treasure.
With that being said, I hold no words with the same authority that I hold scripture. The Bible is the only book that I believe to be alive and used like a double-edged sword to bring life and breath into my life. And yours:). God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are my foundation. Reading/studying scripture is one of the ways that I can allow God to set me free from the ways of this world. And if the other books I read are drawing me away from the Lord, I pray that He will give me an uneasiness in my spirit, and an awareness in my gut that I am being fed lies, and/or a support system of loved ones who will yell at me and tell me to "wake up!!!" I pray that for you too.
