Sweet Memories

My birthday was a couple of days ago and I was woken up by Dylan whispering to me, "Happy birthday mommy!" He then preceded to clean the living room for me! He took everyone's shoes from the front door and put them in the corresponding closets, folded a blanket that was on the couch and put it away, and picked up a few things. Jason and the boys had gone the night before to get me flowers and a balloon. After Dylan cleaned up, he got me out of bed and presented to me the flowers, balloon, and a bag of "presents" that he had put together for me. The presents were some of his favorite toys, one that included a pine cove Frisbee! After I opened my presents, he said, " ok, lets go play Frisbee!" My day was made within the first 30 minutes of being awake! That boy is so sweet!

The boys, Jason, and I were eating lunch outside the other day. Jason set Drew up in the spot that Dylan wanted to sit. Dylan comes out and starts crying because he wants to sit in Drew's seat. Jason and I tell him that we are sorry, but he is going to have to sit in the other seat because Drew is already there and already eating. About the time Dylan is about to have a meltdown, my sweet Drewby picks up his plate and drink, moves it to the next seat, and says, "it's ok Dylan, you can sit here." This boy is so amazingly sweet. He melts my heart.

Some of Drew's most commonly used words are "sure", and "probably." He responds this way a lot.

Drew loves to come get in bed with his daddy and cuddle in the mornings! He goes straight to the refrigerator to get his milk first, chugs it down as he is walking to our room and sliding in daddy's arms. Then is snoring within minutes.

Dylan has an office set up in the playroom where he can "work." He goes there often to get some things done! It is precious.

Dylan likes to "play a game" called "what did God make?" He asks me question after question of things like, "did God make trees?" " Did God make roads?" "Did God make houses?" "Did God make cars, trucks, jeeps?" "Did God make water? How did he make water, it is so soft?"
