The kids and I went to the walking trail this morning and the boys took their bikes. It was an adventure to say the least. Dylan rode to the end of the trail and back and completely wore himself out.
Drew, stayed behind with me and ditched his bike pretty much as soon as we got to the trail. He picked flowers for Sarah and I. Such a sweet boy. He walked up to me, stuck his finger up to my nose and said, "what's that smell?" "Umm, that would be poop Drew. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING UNTIL WE GET HOME!"
After Lunch, I decided today would be a good day to take a family nap! So, all four of us snuggled up in my bed. Dylan was so excited because "this was his first time to sleep next to Sarah!" I was excited too because it was super sweet to have all three of them in bed with me:) Sarah and Drew fell asleep almost instantly! "Yes!"
Dylan laid quietly next to Sarah holding her hand and staring at her. Then he got his blanket, Blue, the one he has slept with every day since he was two years old, and covered up Sarah with it. It was the sweetest thing I have seen all day. It's moments like this that give me hope that maybe, just maybe, we are doing something right around here.
I couldn't take the chance of waking the kids up by taking a picture so this will have to do. This is Blue.
Oh my gosh - that is so...... sweet. I think that Sarah is going to look a lot like Dylan
