I'm Excited!
Hi friends!
So, I couldn't sleep the other night, and an idea popped into my head. An idea that I am very excited about.
You see every time I go through something new, I come through the other side so thankful for the new experience and the opportunity to learn and grow. I also feel like I can connect with a wider group of people because I understand a little more of what there life is like. However, there is just no possible way that any of us could go through EVERYTHING. I got to thinking that I know quite a broad range of people who have experienced a lot of life, and I want to know what it has been like for them. I want to know more about how to connect with people, how to love people, how to serve people, and how NOT to be insensitive to them.
So. I popped out of bed and sent a few emails to some of my very favorite people. My idea is not a new one, I read this blog a few years ago and loved it, so my idea spring from that. I want to know the "highlights" if you will, of what it has been like to live through some of the different things my friends have lived through. Some of the things are hard, like the loss of a parent or child. Some are just very unique mixed with heartache and loads of JOY, like what it's like to have a child with downs syndrome or what it is like to be a teen mom. And other's are what's it's like to be the wife of a surgeon or of a pastor. I am anxiously waiting to hear back from several of my friends and they will guest post RIGHT HERE a little glimpse into their lives! I can't wait!
I am still ironing out a few of the details because I want this to be organized and then we will get this started! If YOU are living in a unique circumstance, and you would like to share with us what it has been like for you, send me an email and let's talk!
This series will be posted once a week. I am hoping that we will have LOTS of entries, but I am not entirely sure yet. I'm also hoping to get this thing started NEXT week! Wahoo!
Please pray with me for the lovely people who are daring to be vulnerable for the sake of us all learning to love better!
Love,
