Letter to The Twenty Two Year Old Mindy

Dear Twenty Two Year Old Mindy,

I've had you on my heart and wanted to write you a letter of encouragement. I've been watching you and I'm so proud of the changes I have seen you make in your life.

I want you to know that although you are completely intimidated, those high school girls that you have been hanging out with truly are enjoying your friendship. Don't stress out so much over what they think about you, just serve them and love them. That's what they need the most. Don't be so focused on seeing results right now. Seeds take time to grow. You are sowing seeds of love.

I've seen you at your job, you're a flight attendant now. How cool is that! This is such a cool opportunity you have right now. Please do me a favor and enjoy every second of it. It won't be for very much longer that you are footloose and fancy free! You can work/travel/fly as much as you want right now and see so many cool things and places. It will never be this easy again to do these things. Take God with you Mindy. Bring Him on your trips with you. Let Him romance you.

Make some new girlfriends by looking for young women who need friends as well. Don't have such high expectations of them, just enjoy them. Remember, only God can meet your deepest needs, but friends sure do make things more enjoyable, fun, and easy!

Enjoy living on a small income and living with minimal expenses. Don't get yourself into debt.

I know you wish you had someone to live life with, but don't worry. You will not be single forever. God has a plan for you and it's a good one, I promise. For now, enjoy your youth! Enjoy your healthy body,( which is not fat by the way, quit beating yourself up about that).

If God desires for you to marry, He WILL bring you the man that He has for you. In fact, take rest knowing that He is orchestrating it already. Your part is to be ready for that man and to not be wasting your time on anything other than Gods plan. You know what I'm talking about, seek holiness Mindy, not just someone to soothe your loneliness.

This decade you have in front of you is going to be amazing. You will not believe the things God has in store for you. Be ready. Live fully. And rest in God's plan. He has you right where He wants you.
