My Dream House

To the few of you who so sweetly said, " I can't wait to see pictures of the new house!" Well...I can't wait to show you!!  This house is my dream house.  It really is.  I have been praying for this house for years, and it is amazing how God blew me away with more than I could have hoped for. He is so kind and generous, and I know that He did NOT have to bless us in such a way. I am so thankful.

Without further ado...

Outside of the house...

You walk right into the living room, and the stairs are in front of you...

This is the living room.  First time to put up a tree in three years!  Let's just say that the last two Christmas's have been rough. We have a lot to be thankful for this year.

I love the windows and high ceilings.  You can probably tell that I took some of these pictures at night and some during the day.  I can't figure out how to capture the light just right yet.

Dining room...

Kitchen...

Back porch...

I just wanted to take a picture like this because I never have!  Our walls are a very light yellow. I decided to add some turquoise into the mix, so I painted this mirror that used to be bronze. I love the way it turned out.  Jason thinks it's ugly.

I just love these stairs, although they have not been very kind at all to my SI joints.  Ugh.

Our master bathroom just might be my favorite room in the entire house.  It is spacious, has a double vanity, and the tub is separate from the shower.  That makes me very happy.  I have taken a bath every day since we moved in, and I am not staring at the toilet when I soak, which is another bonus!

We got to pick out the tile, and we chose slate.  I am loving the way it looks!  The walls are a really light blue, but again, you can't really tell in these pictures.

This is the playroom/schoolroom.  The original picture made me sick to my stomach, so I went ahead and made it a black and white!

I envision book shelves, cubbies, a desk, and a pull-out sofa couch.  But for now, it is what it is!  I love that the kids can play in this room and technically guests never have to go upstairs.  There is also a bathroom in this room, so it will be great when we have family in town.  It's to the left when you walk in the front door.

Here is a peek at the boys messy bedroom...

The walls are a really cool gray and they have Star Wars stickers on the wall.

Our bedroom is big enough to fit all of our furniture in, which hasn't happened in five years.  My mother-in-law gave us an amazing bedroom suite for our wedding present.  It was/is a fabulous gift that should last forever!

Sarah's room is a lot like in our Boerne house.  Cute as can be.  Yellow walls with lots of flowers and pink.

These pictures really don't do the house justice,  I'm just not patient enough to get perfect pictures and this post already took me an hour.  Hope you enjoy!  And I can't wait to have you all over!

If you live in the area, come over for some fun, food, and discussion about the bible tonight.  It's gonna be great and I'm making spaghetti!
